The Petroleum Dealers Association (PDA) has announced a nationwide strike this week in support of their demands. The association is demanding a 5% increase in the profit margin or commission per liter from the government.

According to the Chairman of PDA, Abdul Sami Khan, they have already requested the government to increase the profit margin by 5%. The association’s stance is that the lower profit margins have caused losses for the lower-volume petrol pumps, leading some of them to close down.

Currently, the government is offering us a profit margin of 6 rupees and 2.4% per liter.
